  1. Chance to be Chancellor

  2. Taxation Work We have decide to stick to current plans but increase national insurance. We have done this because by increasing national insurance it means that we will earn an extra £9bn a year which we can then spend on public services. However it reduce the amount that everybody earns, and it is the same for both high and low income workers.

  3. Taxation Consumer We have decided to cut fuel tax by 1%. We have done this as it reduces the cost of living, therefore people are able to spend more, especially those on low income. However its bad for the economic crisis and also it is bad for the environment.

  4. Taxation Business We have decided to increase corporation tax by 1%. By doing this it means that we are able to contribute more to reducing the deficit. However by the increased financial pressures on UK companies could slow down business investment.

  5. Social Protection Spending We have decided to scrap the winter fuel payment. We have done this because it help contribute towards to reduce the national deficit. However it reduces the income of the vulnerable people when energy prices are increasing.

  6. Spending Health We are reforming the NHS budget. This is halting the building of new hospitals. We have done this because it will improve long term efficiency with savings. However it will effect the most vulnerable people and can cause a less healthy workforce.

  7. Tax Relief and Benefits Spending We are reducing the support for child care. We are doing this because it will save money and will contribute towards reducing the national deficit. However less parents will be returning to work after having a baby and this will effect the number of unemployment.

  8. Defence Spending We are selling off surplus military land. They own 230,000 hectares of land and selling this will mean that there will be able to build 20,000 new homes by 2015. However by reducing the land it may effect the training and capability of the armed forces.

  9. Public order and safety Spending We are further reducing spending on the police and reform the force. We have decided to do this because it means that the police will become more efficient. However this means that elected commissioners are unlikely to become re-elected.

  10. Spending Environment We have scrapped the renewable heat incentive. This will save us money as it is usually expensive, and the money saved will help the country with immediate concerns. However it is bad for the environment as 44m tonnes of carbon emissions will be generated by 2020.
