  1. 4 Ways To Keep Your Preschooler Engaged During Winter Break Managing a preschooler is a pretty tough job; especially during the winter break from his Montessori Arcadia, CA. Many times, they are bored to death because they can’t go out due to the weather or because you are busy with Christmas or New Year preparations. So, to help you out, here are some ways to keep your little preschooler engaged during winter break. One of the great ways to keep them busy is by letting them work with you. So, after Christmas is over and all the gift-giving has taken place, it is time to sort through old toys and give them to charity. If you have more than one child, give each a box and ask them to donate toys and books they won’t be needing anymore. That way not only you will declutter your home but instill the value of giving back to society and sharing with underprivileged children from a young age.

  2. Another household chore you can involve your little one in is making cookies if you are into home baking. Depending on how old they are, they can help with mixing or cutting shapes or even decorating the cookies with icing. When it is snowing too much, and the children can’t go out, it is time to make some indoor snowman. All you will need is some school glue, wax paper, cookie sheet, cookie-cutter in shape of a snowman (if you have one) and glitters (if you don’t mind the mess). For decorating the snowman, you can use pompoms, old buttons, a small bit of carrot, etc. To start with, place the wax paper on the cookie sheet and use the cookie cutter to outline a snowman. If you don’t have one, you can just draw it. Now pipe the glue on the drawing starting from the borders and slowly filling in. Make sure it does not spillover. Now place the pompoms (try red ones) for the side and old black buttons for eyes. Use a small bit of carrot for the nose. Let it dry completely before you peel it off. You can also sprinkle glitter over it when it is still wet. If you want to make Christmas tree decoration with it, make sure you make a hole on the top when it is semi-solid to thread it and hang it. Even snow can become a good way to entertain your children. You can plan this both indoor and outdoor; all you need is some food coloring and spray

  3. bottle. Just mix the food colors in the water and fill the spray bottle. Then give them to your children to spray the snow as much as they like outside (if the weather permits). If it is too cold to play outside, use a bucket or basin to collect the snow and let them paint the inside. Just place the bucket/basin on the sink or in the bathroom to avoid making a puddle in the house. These are just some activities that can keep your preschoolers occupied until their Montessori Arcadia, CA opens. You can look up online for more ideas to make this winter break fun.
