  1. The Fun Way of Teaching Alphabets to the Preschoolers Have you started reading out the storybooks or rhyme books aloud to your enthusiastic bunch of tiny tots? Have they begun identifying letters? If so, you are on the right track. Toddlers start identifying letters by its shape, and the learning would be incomplete if they do not understand the sound of each alphabet. This article will take you through 4 awesome alphabet activities that not only make the alphabet learning entertaining, but also engage students of Chinese preschool in Singapore. Chinese kindergartens in Singapore can also utilize these ideas to improve the mandarin skills of the students. 1. Learn while you play Clay might be the favorite play material for the tiny tots in the class, then why not utilize that for an engaging alphabet activity? Provide each child with enough dough in a tray along with play dough, beads, and alphabet flashcards. Instruct the kids to write the letters with the beads onto the dough. You can replace the beads with pebbles or buttons or even beans. 2. Memory game with alphabets Memory Game is a favorite game among the kindergarteners. Make use of this fabulous concept to learn alphabets. Arrange for a stack of paper plates and markers. Mark the plates with capital letters and the corresponding small letters. Now, lay down the plates with the pairs scattered at different places. Each kid is allowed to select two plates in his turn and play until he ends up finding the right matching pairs. Chinese playschools can involve this game to teach Chinese language skills to the kids. 3. The basketball fun Want another fun game with alphabets? Then basketball with alphabets would be the perfect activity for the naughty kids in the class. You have to write down each alphabet on papers and lay it down on the floor. Then call out the letters. Each student is given a chance to identify the letter and take the paper. The kid has to crumple that paper then and throw it in a basket. The toddlers can improve their language skills as well as excellent motor skills. 4. Alphabet soup Grab all your plastic letters and drop it in a big pot of water. The soup of alphabet is ready. Now call out the alphabets. The kids are required to hold their chopsticks correctly and grab the called-out alphabet into another bowl. Chinese kindergarten in Singapore can use mandarin alphabets instead of English ones for this game. There is no doubt that kids learn best through play. So, include as much as fun you could while teaching the tiny tots at your Chinese preschool in Singapore.
