Giraffes. By: Shane & Brody. The males can be up to 18ft. tall. The females can be up to 14ft. tall. They have 2 distinct hair-covered horns called ossicones . They eat acacia leaves. Giraffes live in Africa, South of the Sahara Desert.

  2. The males can be up to 18ft. tall. The females can be up to 14ft. tall.

  3. They have 2 distinct hair-covered horns called ossicones.

  4. They eat acacia leaves.

  5. Giraffes live in Africa, South of the Sahara Desert.

  6. An interesting fact that I learned about giraffes were that their feet are the size of a dinner plate (12 inches across.)

  7. Another interesting fact I learned about the giraffes were that their necks weigh about 600 pounds.
