  2. Ms. L strolled into the local donut shop and handed the clerk her list. Of course, being a math teacher, the list was in Mathanese. Chocolate frosted with sprinkles Glazed Orange frosted with sprinkles Pink frosted with sprinkles • How many of each type did Ms. L want?

  3. Ms. L wanted to have several identical boxes of donuts. • Each box would have the same number of each type of donut. • Ms. L asked the clerk to make as many identical boxes as possible.

  4. Baffled, the clerk told Ms. L he did not know how to figure this out.Ms. L shook her head and said, “My dear boy, one simply needs to find the GCF of the amounts of each type of donut!”
