Carroll County Middle School 2012-13 Language Arts Plan: Enhancing Student Success

The Carroll County Middle School's 2012-13 improvement plan aims to enhance language arts and reading proficiency, particularly for GAP and special needs students. Key initiatives include daytime waivers for intervention with a focus on reading strategies like Read Naturally and the Louisville Writing Project. Staff training will cover Kansas Reading Strategies, while Freda Klotter, the Reading Specialist, will collaborate with new teachers. Additional interventions involve READ 180 for 6th graders, On-Demand Scrimmages, and scrimmage testing to celebrate student growth. Holistic support in all content areas is emphasized.
