Quantitative Trait Loci Analysis: Evaluating Power and False Discovery Rates in RIL Sampling

This study investigates the impact of various quantitative trait loci (QTLs) on average power and false discovery rates (FDR) in the context of recombinant inbred lines (RILs). By examining QTLs with average heritability (h²) values of 0.4 and 0.7, we explore how the number of RILs and sampling methods influence the detection of genetic traits. The findings provide insights into optimizing sampling strategies for genetic studies, aiming to improve QTL mapping accuracy while minimizing false positives.
