Interview Assignment due Tuesday • Interview 1 staff member in the school (Counselor, Lunch lady, Custodian, Teacher, Vice Principal) • Topic: Totem Staff & Story: What are their goals and expectations to make this the best year at Totem? • Select staff • Create Know & Don’t Know Research chart • Create 10-15 questions • Schedule interviews tomorrow.

  4. 9-26-11 Literacy To Do: • Pull out reader’s journal • Fill out Agenda. • Turn in Reading Log and Grab a new one. Warm-Up • How can we prepare for a more meaningful and deeper conversations about our reading? (Revisit our chart)

  10. Socratic Seminar Prep • What is one idea that stood out to you about the main character or the principal? Why? • What is one question you have about this story or the characters? • How would describe the main character? Rule breaker or hero?

  11. Socratic Seminar • Form 2 circles (one inner and one outer) • Select one person you would like to track their conversation. • Track their conversation during the seminar. • Switch circles. • Track the second partner’s conversation. • 8 minutes per circle
