  2. Flexibility • It is a measure of the range of motion at a specific joint. • No single test can adequately represent overall body flexibility.

  3. Sit-and-reach test of flexibility • Most commonly used measure • Measures the flexibility of the low back and hamstrings • Requires the subject to reach forward, stretching the muscles of the low back and hamstrings

  4. Sit-and-reach test examples • Female 20 years, sit-and-reach of 39 cm, percentile = 70 • Male 19 years, sit-and-reach of 34 cm, percentile = 50.
