  2. You might have a photography agenda, but in the end it’s their day People get tired, both physically and emotionally, and sometimes just want the event to end What’s joyous for some is sad for others It’s their day

  3. Dress for success – a special event requires special event attire • You are ambassadors for VMC – please look the part • Your attitude and attention must be with and on the event, even if it’s “dull” for you • Be calm, even if things go wrong Decorum & Attire

  4. Manners matter in these formal settings, so please use yours Dr. Samantha Nutt, Minister of Education, MLAs, PTSD superintendents, CMHR staff, Lindsay White (singer) etc. These photos are very important – especially VMC admin with them (Nutt/Minister) VIPs

  5. 8:30 • All presenters are here & conference begins • 8:40-9:00 • Aboriginal drummers play; people talk • 9-10:00 • Dr. Samantha Nutt speaks • 10:30-11:30 • AM sessions • 11:30-12:30 l • Lunch • 12:30-1:30 • PM sessions • 1:45- 3:00 • CMHR presentation & concert Feb. 25 UNESCO conference

  6. Drummers – 6 Aboriginal drummers will drum a ceremonial song. Mrs. A will offer tobacco before they drum Get great shots – some with motion, some stop action, some close ups, some full group Feb. 25 UNESCO conference

  7. Admin speaks – Mr. Riffle and Mdm. JFG will open the conference (maybe some students, too) The Minister of Ed (James Allum) will speak Other VIPs will speak Get ALL of these people – close ups and context – try for some branding – VMC logo/UNESCO logo etc. Feb. 25 UNESCO conference

  8. Dr. Samantha Nutt – our keynote – she’s THE VIP – we need exceptional shots here Try for some of her and VMC branding & some shots with students listening while she speaks. She leaves immediately after her speech, so we need any group shots before we start Feb. 25 UNESCO conference

  9. Your job is to attend sessions and get pics of the presenters and students in the sessions. Sessions

  10. A few of you will be asked to stay over lunch to shoot the VIP lunch It’s an opportunity for you to get some good group shots of these folks and our folks Lunch & vips

  11. We are the first public school in the world to see this presentation A speaker will introduce the museum and all of the galleries We want pics of her and of her slides She will also play a video Again, look for some branding shots with CMHR & VMC CMHR presentation

  12. A few of you will have the task of shooting the concert part I think she is a solo performer, but I’m not sure. Try to get some crowd shots/teachers clapping along etc. Concert – lindsay white

  13. It’s important that a few of you take on shooting the details of the day – the program, the gifts, the signage etc. Think creatively. The nuances

You will be official photographers from 8:00am-3:00pm More than 75 guests are coming Expectations are high Turn around time is tight, so we meet after the conference to upload pics and start processing them (I will give you classes off for this We need a plan for who will capture what – Monday. Bring your cameras and bags on Monday – we will do some test runs. What this means for you

  15. Decide which part of the conference you most want to shoot Plan some shots that you want/will aim for, and how you might arrange for these Shots you need based on assignments
