Stakeholder Summit

The Stakeholder Summit on Fire Prevention will review the success of the "Getting to Know Fire" presentation and its content. With positive feedback from trainers over the past few years, we will explore effective learning alternatives for fire prevention initiatives. The summit will discuss the need to expand the delivery mechanisms for these valuable training programs, including the potential for the "Getting to Know Fire" course to be offered as an E-Learning option. This evolution aligns with the Alberta fire departments' adoption of online training systems to maintain critical skills.

  3. Past Success • Over the last couple of years several courses on “Getting to Know Fire” have been presented to Train the Trainer • Response from the Trainers has been positive • Let’s examine the content of GTKF to better understand it’s application (Link)

  4. Learning Alternatives • With excellent value coming from the GTKF course the need to expand the delivery mechanism is required • Fire Departments in Alberta have chosen online training systems to assist with skills maintenance etc. • GTKF could be positioned as an E-Learning course
