  2. Isola Bella (Isula Bedda în Sicilia), este o mică insulă situată lângă oraşul Taormina în provincia Messina. Uneori mica distanta care il separa de coasta este anulat din cauza curentului, devenind astfel o peninsulă.Numele a fost dat de către baronul german Wilhelm von Gloeden, care a răspândit în întreaga lume valoarea artistică a insulei.Donate în 1806 de către Ferdinand I al celor Două Sicilii la Ciprioti Pancrazio, primarul din Taormina, a fost achiziţionată în 1890 de către Lady Florenţa Trevelyan, o nepoată a reginei Victoria I a Regatului Unit şi soţia filantrop al primarului din Taormina, profesorul Salvatore Cacciola, care a construit un ciudat casă.
