  2. Design Brief • Design and make a tool box to hold general workshop tools to keep in the boot of a car.

  3. Material Limitations • Use galvanised steel sheet metal (0.5mm). • For box use 600 x 450mm. • For lid use 300 x 450mm. • For tray use 300 x 450mm. • Discuss handle material with the teacherand include yours here.

  4. Research • A good basic model. Hard to keep it organised.

  5. Research • Basic model with a tray – easier to find things.

  6. Research • Much more complex, but drawers are handy.

  7. Research • Handy trays and not as tricky as drawers. • Easier to do only two trays on cantilevers.

  8. Sketch Ideas • Paste in photos of your rough idea sketches here.

  9. Prototype • Add photo of your cardboard trial box here.

  10. Orthogonal Drawings • Finish the design with 2D (orthogonal) drawings done in AutoCAD, VectorWorks or with Word drawing tools. • Show dimensions and cut and fold lines.
