  1. Who given the Royal Pardon to Moroccan People?

  2. King Mohammed VI granted a royal pardon to around 510 people across Morocco. This news has been confirmed by the Ministry of Justice Morocco. The statement came out on the eve of Al Mawlid Nabawi Commemoration. This is an important event of Morocco that is observed as a celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

  3. This royal pardon has been divided into two categories and the first category was comprised of almost 345 inmates. Among 345 inmates, 7 detainees have been exempted from the remaining prison sentence. As per the reports, 336 people benefitted from their prison sentence. Two inmates who were given life imprisonment were given imprisonment for a specific period of time. Among 510 beneficiaries, around 165 people have been released on their bail prey. 

  4. Of 165,53 people were benefitted as they were exempted from imprisonment for their remaining prison sentences. Around 12 people have been exempted from lifetime imprisonment. However, they still have to pay fines to the court during the period of their conviction. 

  5. This royal pardon has also given relief to around 93 people as they are exempted from paying fines. Seven people have been exempted from both fines and imprisonment. The royal pardon is observed as a custom that is performed on national and religious events of Morocco. 

  6. Eid Al Mawlid is a spiritual day where Muslims celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad. The rituals of this festival vary from one region to another.   8. Kandil mainly refers to five types of Islamic holy nights which were mainly celebrated in Muslim Balkan and Turkish communities.
