  2. BEING SCRIPTURAL GOALS FOR EVERY CONGREGATION #1 Intro. Ever think much on our goals here? Every congregation has goals: 1. No Vision = Drifting. 2. “Keep house” = Status Quo. 3. Definite Goals = Focus. Goal - Objective, purpose, aim, plan. An end that is WORKED toward. If no work - then how is it a goal?

  3. BEING SCRIPTURAL GOALS FOR EVERY CONGREGATION #1 A. We Follow Scriptures (Heb. 8:5; 2 Thess. 3:14). B. We Follow Whole Counsel (Acts 20:27). In all areas, or else not scriptural! I. WHAT DOES SCRIPTURAL MEAN? C. Not Let Personal Preferences Stand In Way (Rom. 10:3; Matt. 15:9). D. Pay Attention To Details (Matt. 23:23; Luke 16:10).

Lest We Be Like The Denominations: Increasingly Ecumenical Prefer Their Church Over The Lord’s. Prefer Their Plan Over The Lords’. Prefer To Get Have Fellowship, Even If Differ Doctrinally! II. WHY SO IMPORTANT?

  5. BEING SCRIPTURAL GOALS FOR EVERY CONGREGATION #1 A. Common Standard (1 Cor. 1:10; Phil. 3:16). B. Truly Care (Phil. 2:20; Mark 8:34). C. Mutual Admonitions To Follow Scriptures (Heb. 10:24; 2 Pet. 1:12-15). III. HOW BE SCRIPTURAL? D. Rebuke Any Effort To Do Otherwise.

  6. BEING SCRIPTURAL GOALS FOR EVERY CONGREGATION #1 A. Evangelism (every joint supply Eph. 4:16). B. Being United (same mind 1 Cor. 1:10). C. Elders (submission to one another Heb. 13:7, 17). IV. AREAS TO WORK ON D. Worship (shared purpose and practice John 4:23-24) E. Teaching (speak same 2 Cor. 4:13)

BEING SCRIPTURAL GOALS FOR EVERY CONGREGATION #1 Let us work together toward this goal! “Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus: that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore receive ye one another, even as Christ also received you, to the glory of God.” (Rom. 15:5-7) CONCLUSION:

  8. HOW DOES GOD OFFER SECURITY? HUMAN ERROR: At The Point Of Faith, Before & Without Obedience. One Moment Is Enough! BIBLE TRUTH: IN OBEDIENT & LIVING FAITH! (Rom. 4:3, 12; 6:3f, 16-18; Jas. 2:14-24) In Whom Do We Trust?
