RAM is data that is retrieved by the computer through knowing the location of the data cell.Many people prefer this type of memory because it is not order dependent. However, this type of memory cannot be accessed while the computer is turned off. Random Access Memory (RAM) Typical Computer with 4 Gigabytes of RAM Bitlines Address of memory Memory is made of bits that are arranged in a grid of Columns, known as bitlines, and rows, known as wordlines.
