Updates for Donor Collections NDC’s • Goals for 2010 • 100,800 procedures • 124,400 components • Planned growth in 2010 over 2009 • 3,600 red cells • 1,700 platelets
Updates for Donor Collections NDC’s • Jan and Feb 2010 NDCs are 1.04% above component goal YTD
Coding Donors Day of Advocates Drive • Credits should go to specific Community Advocate group unless the donor states a different group.
Staffing at Community Advocate Drives • Standard NDC staffing for the day based on seeing 1.2 to 1.4 donors per hour. • Additional 2 Mobile Staff members • seeing 1.2 to 1.4 donors per hour. • Each staff member should collect 10 to 11 • staff during the drive.
Staffing at Community Advocate Drives • Small center with 3 staff and 2 • mobile staff collect 50 to 55 donors. • Large center with 8 staff and 2 • mobile staff collect 100 to 110 donors.
Staffing at Community Advocate Drives • Works best if donors can be scheduled. • Advocates escort donors from place to • place. • Advocates assist with organizing who is • next to be screened or drawn. • Advocates schedule next appointments.
