  4. Of Good Behavior • 1 Tim 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach; • composed and solid • not light, vain or frothy • not heady, or high tempered or soon angry

  5. Chaste Behavior • 1 Peter 3:1-2 In like manner, ye wives, (be) in subjection to your own husbands; that, even if any obey not the word, they may without the word be gained by the behavior of their wives; 2 beholding your chaste behavior (coupled) with fear. ASV • prudent, peaceable, and exemplary

  6. Reverent in Demeanor • Titus 2:3 that aged women likewise be reverent in demeanor, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good; AVS • They think before they act • They realize their influence is important especially on the younger women which are the future of the church

  7. Why Have This Unit ?

  8. Behavioral Science Unit • It deals with how criminals and terrorist think • Remember the movie “Silence of the Lambs” and the TV program “Criminal Minds” and “ The Mentalist” • Why would we need such specialized units all over our country

People are not listening to God • God tells us how to behave but men will not listen • Titus 2:6-8 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. 7 In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you

  10. Adopting the Evil Behavior of World • We all choose how we want to live • Gangs are now in many countries of world • World Conference in Las Vegas Dec 8-9 2009 • Illegal Immigration

  11. Wish It Were That Easy To Fix • What is the fix? • It is more serious than just making and enforcing laws • It has to come from grass root teachings from the word of God • When you steal, kill and generally live to take care of yourself and forget others this is what you end up with.

  12. Teachers are seeing … • Very unruly children, kicking and screaming to get their way even in the elementary schools • What will the next generation be like if we don’t begin to correct that behavior • Many children are on medication so they can think and do their school work

  13. What is the Answer? It is not complicated at all, it is just not something people want to hear!

  14. Follow the Words of God • Matt 6:13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. • Matt 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

  16. Follow the Words of God • Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

  17. Follow the Words of God • Luke 11:34-35 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

Their Reward Is Coming • Luke 16:25-26 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Their Reward Is Coming • John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. • John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
