  1. Annex to the „Record of Proceeding“on accomplished works of the Project Project“ Accomplishment of Bank Strenghtening Works for ReducingRisk of Destruction by Water of the Roadof Interregional Importance “

  2. The Project has been of a very good imput for the future development of mountain valleys, their population, security of the trafic and possibility of stable and secure access of the local inhabitants to district centers and to stable food supplies. • The Project objectives: in tune with national and international strategy of regional development as well as with general goals of Czech cooperation programme. • The Project results:streghtening the Jagnob river bank and improvemnts of the trafic, minimization of risk of the road and other constructions innundation.

  3. On the spot, wherethe road was covered (blocked) by the fragmental materialof landslide flow, theroad was detached from the sediments and enlarged enough to enable at leased two cars (trucks) to pass at once. The overall length of this road part- 34 meters

  4. The road after the ladslide took place in 2007 The road after its recuperation

  5. The river-basinof the Jagnob confluent which was blocked as the result of the landslide has been thanks to the earth works recuperated and the water was directed to the old river-basin. The concrete tubes under the road were made free from the fragmental material

  6. The dam in the river made by the landslide material was removedand the river-basin – its right-side partof 65 м length was deepened up to 1,5 – 2 meters so that the water could pass without obstacles and does not accumulate behind the dam (as it was after the landslide in 2007)

  7. The rivermargin has been strengthenedon the length of 52 m

  8. On 350 mupstreemthe road was innundated by waterwhichwas running in byan aside branch. This inflow place wasblocked by a wallmade from graveland ballast on 65 m. The road was stregthened in these 350 m

  9. Concrete tube laying job by the local inhabitants

  10. The escavators were used on the length of 2 km on which the main works were conducted. The streem-basin in these places was deepened and concrete tubes laid under the road so that its water could easily reach the Jagnoba river

  11. The evident need in the river-basin changes

  12. The most effective solution was to deepen the left-side of the river-basin. As the river-basin was deflected from the road its right bank will be not more destroyed by the erosion. For these operations the heavy machines had to be transported over the river-basin onto the other river bank
