  2. ESOs Expectations • ANEC is the European Consumer Voice in Standardization • Consumers represented in two complementary ways: • Through national delegations • Directly at European level • Through which ANEC can promote a common European position

  3. ANEC is a key stakeholder in the European Standardization system: • Associate - CEN • Cooperating Partner – CENELEC • User category - ETSI → Different status → Different rights

  4. ANEC : • To respect and defend the basic principles on which European Standardization is based • While respecting its independency, to debate with ESO before exposing ideas publicly

  5. ESOs and ANEC – Future • YOUR stakeholders are OUR stakeholders • Strengthen the cooperation for mutual topics: • Common actions; • Common perceptions; • Common political, technical Objectives

Future Landscape of the European Standardization • Starting in June 2006 between CEN/CENELEC • Harmonisation of internal regulations • Arbitration Mechanism • External Relations • European Conformity Assessment • CEN/CENELEC back office • Common DG • Presidential Committee • CEN/CLC Management Center • Financial resources • Branding and Marketing
