Overview of MATLAB MATLAB® (Matrix Laboratory) developed by MathWorks is a fourth-generation language and software development environment used for performing numerical computation, data analysis and visual capabilities. The use of MATLAB allows to write moderate-sized programs that solve problems related to manipulation of numbers. Its built-in functions allow easy interpretation of data and helps in quicker decision making.
