Fourth Grade News Room 133 Mrs. Howd May 9, 2014 News & Notes Daily Schedule Monday-Day 5: Library Tuesday-Day 1: Music and PE Wednesday-Day 2:Art Thursday-Day 3: Music and PE Friday- Day 4: Computer The 4th graders had a great time at Feed My Starving Children on Tuesday. It wasreally neat to see the kids working so hard to help childrenin need! A special thanks goes out to all of our parent volunteers and all of the people who donated to this cause. In reading this week we studied cause and effect while reading the story, “Wild Horses.” The students also learned when to use the words better, best, worse, and worst in grammar. The students continued to work on their lit. posters as a culminating activity to their recent literature study books. In math we continued working on our mini unit on customary measurement. The students will take the unit test next week. SCIENCE MUSEUM FIELD TRIP If you haven’t returned the permission slip for the science museum along with the $10.00 payment please do so by Monday. We will be gone all day, on Thursday so your child will need to bring a lunch in a paper bag that can be thrown away. They also must wear comfortable shoes. Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered to join us on our trip. Please be at school by 8:50 on Thursday morning if you plan on riding the bus to the museum with us. If you plan on meeting us at the museum, please meet us at the education entrance at 9:25. I want to take this time to wish all of the mothers out there Happy Mother’s Day! Enjoy your special day!
