  4. GOALS: Provides tools so that each North Valley Nonprofit can and will: • Improve service delivery, • Expand community outreach, and, • Maximize fundraising efforts using “FREE” Internet Technologies

  5. Objectives: Council Members will benefit from this seminar if they: • Implement a dynamic Web Journal [BLOG] • Share calendared events at central source(s) like the NCVF • Train staff in free Internet Technology APIs

  6. Objectives: Council Members will benefit from this seminar if they: • Measure web site traffic and evaluate viewer “value” • Celebrate & Share in the success of other local NPs • Create SYNERGY among like minded NPs by participating in the NVCF network

  7. Objective 1: “Blogging” More powerful than having your own TV studio! (When used properly) A multimedia approach that enhances all outreach tools “Saves” content for future training, evaluation and planning

  10. Don’t Get Lost in CyberSpace! • YOU MUST LEARN HOW TO: • FEED other blogs with RSS • “Trackback” to your site • Encourage members to subscribe to your Blog, upload content and share with others!

  11. Objective 2: The Calendar Maximizing participation in your events requires careful planning. Avoid other orgs from “competing” with you for valuable calendar time. Strategize,Organize and Planearly so like-minded orgs can participate WITH you not “against you!”

  14. Objective 5: Celebrating Success • Our geographic location requires cooperation • When one of us wins a grant or large donation, WE ALL WIN • Enhanced visibility = opportunities for all! • Winners Win and Losers Lose • Transparency and Sharing help to avoid pitfalls

Objective 6: Real World Application • Blogging is a way to span the gap between different orgs’ varying schedules, missions and available resources • “Quid Pro Quo” is a Virtue among Social Entrepreneurs • Synergies raise the outlook of all Orgs • COMMIT to a practice of sharing & transparency; exponential growth arises naturally this way
