  3. Graduation Dress Code • Josten’s: Every student will need a cap/gown/tassel ($45) • This needs to be ordered immediately (828-681-1712) • Students can borrow a cap/gown but will still need to order 2012 tassel ($24)

  4. Graduation Dress Code • Females: • Any Color Dress (dress must not hang lower than the gown • Natural color nylons • Black dress shoes (pumps or flats, NO SANDALS) closed toe and closed heel

  5. Graduation Dress Code • Males • Black or navy solid tie (no bow tie) • Black or navy dress solid colored pants • Black or navy solid colored socks • Black or navy solid colored dress shoes • White solid colored shirt

  6. Graduation Information • Graduation: May 24, 2013 • Students report to theater at 5:45 • (7:00 – West Caldwell Gym) Tickets are required for admission. (5) * Opportunities for more tickets for perfect attendance & for attending Senior Awards Night.

  7. Senior Dates • Sept. 11 (Tues.) 10:30 – Josten’s Graduation Packet Hand-Out • Sept. 18 (Tues.) during lunch – Josten’s cap/gown orders • Oct. 11 (Thurs.) Senior Picture Make-Up • NOVEMBER 1st – Josten’s cap/gown make-up order • January 9th – Senior Photo Flyer Distribution (during Advisory) • January 31st – Senior Individual Photos (8:00am in the Theater) • May 3rd - Senior group photo • TBA - Senior field trip – Carowinds – 1st 80 students - $50-$60 • April 27 (Sat.) Prom at the HUB • May - Josten’s will deliver cap/gowns • May/TBA – Senior Awards Assembly/ Touch of Class • May – Senior Awards Night • May 3 (Fri.) Cap/Gown photos – group/individual • MayJune – evening – Senior Awards Night • May 19th (Sun.) 6:00 pm – Baccalaurete • May 24th Graduation Practice – 8 am if you owe debts – 9 am if you don’t

College Advisor • Help with College testing, college & scholarship searches, college application process, financial aid assistance • Page on Senior Website with current announcements under College Information – (http://wchs.caldwellschools.com). • Ms. Davenport is at West Caldwell Monday 8-4, Wednesday 8-4, Friday 8-12 By appointment or walk in.

  9. Graduation Requirements • 28 credits – specific credits for specific diploma tracks • Graduation Project • Early Graduation

  11. NCAA Eligibility Center • If you plan on playing a sport at a collegiate level, you must register on www.ncaa.org. • Speak to your coach about your interest. • Do this NOW!

  12. Honors Programs • NC Scholars – 3.5 UNWEIGHTED grade point average, 1 Physics or Chemistry, 1 Career/Technical class, 1 Arts class, and at least 2 second-level or advanced courses • Caldwell County Scholars and West Caldwell Honors graduates – WEIGHTED cumulative GPA of 3.5 • President’s Education Awards Program – 3.5 UNWEIGHTED GPA and 85th percentile on either the verbal or math portion of the SAT or subject test or composite ACT score

  13. Financial Aid Information • Where to find it? – internet (cfnc.org, fastweb.org), daily announcements, WCHS website, posted on Media Center door, counselor’s office • When to look for it? – DAILY • When to apply? Whenever you qualify • Who applies? THE STUDENT
