  6. What is a Biosensor • A device that uses biological components e.g. enzymes to indicate the amount of a biomaterial • Trace biomaterial? – Unnecessary (Eg. Metal ion, etc.) • Quantitative results? – Unnecessary (Eg., Pregnancy test) 6
