  1. Open Range Software Hazardous Material Management

  2. Hazardous Material Management (HMM) Program This section provides examples of various program windows for the Open Range Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and Chemical Inventory programs.

  3. Introduction The CTS Hazardous Material Management (HMM) system enables you to track and manage hazardous materials, including their quantities, usage, location, and accountability.

  4. Hazard Communication Simplify access to workplace chemical lists and associated Manufacturer MSDS records to support Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) requirements.

  5. EPCRA Automatically convert chemical inventory weights and volumes to pounds and generate reports to comply with Federal and State Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know (EPCRA) reporting requirements.

  6. MSDS Management Enable employees to easily find and view Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) information for materials and products.

  7. Easy to Use A simple, user-friendly interface makes the program easy to learn and helps promote consistency in your data.

  8. Secure Your data is secure from viewing or manipulation by unauthorized personnel thanks to the Oracle database and special application-level security features.

  9. Open Range Software Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)

  10. Search for MSDS Records You can easily find MSDS records by searching for the material/product name, an ingredient, vendor name, hazard ratings, and more.

  11. MSDS Details You can enter characteristics about each material or product to provide different ways of reporting and searching for MSDS information.

  12. Specific Gravity The specific gravity information is very important if you want to have the program automatically convert chemical inventory weights and volumes to pounds, as required for EPCRA reporting.

  13. Hazardous Material Attributes Additional flags can be used to further enhance your ability to search and report material and product information.

  14. Ingredients By entering relevant ingredients for materials and products you will be able to view, sum, and total chemical inventory quantity reporting by ingredient.

  15. Synonyms Entering synonyms or aliases for materials and products will enable users to perform searches without needing to know the official or pure chemical name.

  16. Target Organs Listing the target organs affected by the material or product helps make this information readily accessible to users and will help you comply with the Hazard Communication Standard for field labeling of products.

  17. MSDSs Scanning and linking the actual manufacturer’s MSDSs to your material and product records will vastly improve user access to MSDS records.

  18. Open Range Software Chemical Inventory

  19. Control Areas Manage your chemical inventory by establishing control areas - locations where chemicals are stored/used within a facility.

  20. Chemical Inventory Each chemical inventory record is linked to the control area where the material or product is stored/used.

  21. Attributes Additional information about the chemical inventory - including the volume/weight of material or product and the current inventory status - is tracked in the chemical inventory record.

  22. Automatic Unit Conversions The program even automatically converts volumes and weights to pounds to meet reporting requirements.

  23. Open Range Software Reports

  24. Report Filters Most reports include a versatile report filter window to allow you to select exactly which data you want to display in the report. By selecting different sort options and report filters you can create a wide variety of reports.

  25. Hazardous Identification Report The Hazard Identification Report enables users to generate chemical inventory listings and quantities by location, CAS number, ingredient, and more.

  26. Hazardous Material Listing Report The Hazardous Material Listing Report enables users to report chemical inventory data by control area or material.

  27. MSDS Labeling Guide Report The MSDS Labeling Guide Report provides users with a summary of MSDS information about a material or product that can help to comply with the Hazard Communication Standard for field labeling of products
