  1. Lesson 1Robust Vocabulary supportive – If you are supportive of someone, you help them believe they can do something. The children were helpful and supportive of each other. Say the word: supportive What is a good way for me to be supportive to you – by helping you learn new things or by letting you play games all day? Why? Kittens being supportive. (Practice/Apply TE pg. T79)

  2. Lesson 1Robust Vocabulary perform – If you perform, you do something such as sing, dance, act, or read a poem for a group of people. The children could perform the dance together. Say the word: perform Which would you like to perform – a dance, a song, a poem, or a play? Why?

  3. Lesson 1Robust Vocabulary attention– If you pay attention, you listen or watch very carefully. The children paid attention when they learned to tap-dance. Say the word: attention When is it important for you to pay attention – when you take a nap or a spelling test? Why?

  4. Lesson 1Robust Vocabulary form – If you form something, you make it or shape it. How could you fold a sheet of paper to form a triangle? Listen to this direction: Let’s stand and form a circle. What would we do to follow the direction?

  5. Lesson 1Robust Vocabulary distance – If you are at a distance from someone or something, you are far away, not close. If you saw a mountain from a distance, would the mountain look big or small? How would it look if you were near it? If a friend lives at a long distance from you, how could you talk to your friend? How could you visit your friend?

  6. Lesson 1Robust Vocabulary bothered– If you are bothered, you are upset or unhappy. If you missed your favorite television program, would you be bothered? Why or why not? Would you be bothered if it rained every day for a month? Why or why not?
