2. The Intellectual • The intellectual moves from searching for the truth through skepticism to an understanding of the complexity of truth. Jiminy Cricket in Pinocchio acted as Pinocchio’s conscience. He thought with reason and intelligence to do what was best for Pinocchio.

3. The Caregiver • The caregiver puts everyone before himself • The caregiver focuses on how his actions would affect others Gepetto from Pinocchio is an example of the caregiver archetype. He always put Pinocchio before himself.

4. The Rebel • The rebel is not necessarily a bad person • Rebels will sometimes go against authority, when they don’t agree with it. Some of the greatest leaders in history were rebels. • William Wallace, or Braveheart rebelled against the British oppressors, and drove them out of Scotland at the cost of his own life.

5. The Saboteur • Based on Betrayal or Sabotaging oneself • The Saboteur tries to protect himself and anything or anyone important to him Vice President Aaron Burr was going to help the British take The Louisiana territory for the British, in turn for boats and supplies. Burr was eventually caught and was found guilty of treason, and fled to Europe. He came back later and found a job as an attorney.
