Constitution of State Supervisory Board under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Health Minister • Secretary, Family Welfare & Mission Director (NRHM) as Chairman of Multi Member State Appropriate Authority. • Members of State Advisory committee appointed. Meetings are regularly held. • Director, Family Welfare as State Nodal Officer (PCPNDT). • State PCPDNT Cell established. Efforts by Government on Addressing declining sex-ratio

  3. District collector as District Appropriate Authority. • CM&HO as District Nodal Officer (PCPNDT). • CM&HO & Dy.CM&HO as sub-divisional Appropriate Authority. • Regular meetings organized at district & sub divisional level advisory committee. Efforts by Government on Addressing declining sex-ratio

  4. District PCPDNT Cell established. • Regular IEC Campaign --T.V., Radio, F.M., News Paper, Hoardings, etc. • Regular State, District & Sub-Divisional level Workshops organized --Govt. of Rajasthan, I.M.A. Rajasthan Branch, Jaipur. • Target for inspection fixed for Zonal Directors & Appropriate Authority. Efforts by Government on Addressing declining sex-ratio

  5. Committee under the Chairmanship of Zonal Directors & CM&HO constituted including NGO/MNGO. • Regular checking of registered centres. Efforts by Government on Addressing declining sex-ratio

  6. District PCPNDT Coordinators trained for online submission of Form – F. • “State Level Legal Consultation Workshop on PCPNDT Act, 1994 & Save the Girl Child” organized at National Law University Jodhpur on 5-6 September 2008. Efforts by Government on Addressing declining sex-ratio

  7. Total Registration in Raj - 1411 • Govt. Facilities - 85 • Private Facilities - 1326 Pre- Conception & Pre- Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex-selection) Act 1994

  8. FIR(under MTP Act & PCPNDT Act) - 29 • Complaints by App. Auth. - 48 • No. of Search & Seizure - 22 • Registration Suspended /Cancel - 48 • Inspections by App. Auth. - 360 Implementation of PCPNDT Act

  9. 14 Doctors & 1 ANM Suspended, • 6 Sonography machine, Instruments of 4 medical institutions seized. • 5 OTs under MTP Act sealed & Seized. • Registration of 9 MTP Centres cancelled. Action after Sting Operation

  11. Zonal level--Team having a NGO member chairmanship of Joint Directors & • District level -- NGO member with Chief Medical & Health Officer. Participation of NGOs in Inspections of Registered Centers

Up gradation of sonography machines with addition of Form- F in obstructive software of machines & Addition of memory card with counter   • Use of broad band by all registered centre’s and District & State PCPNDT Cell   • Registration of suppliers/companies manufacturing ultrasound machines in Rajasthan Proposed Activities

  13. Registered companies will be allowed to sale machines in Rajasthan • Use of informers - hiring services of Private detectives for identification of Centers engaged in unlawful activities in sex-determination •  Appeal by Religious leaders • Establishment of Adoption/ rescue centers for unwanted girls. Proposed Activities

  14. To take active role with Dy. CM&HO, CM&HO & Zonal Director in – • Inspection of Registered centers. • To organize regular meetings of Advisory committee at Sub-divisional & District Level. • To initiate action against the Centers engaged in unlawful activities. • To make community awareness. Expectation from NGOs
