  2. What is Delicious? • A new type of chocolate? • A new fragrance? • A social bookmarking site?

  3. Definition of Frustration... • Being on a computer that does not have your list of favourites on it.

  4. With Delicious you can ... • Access all your favourite websites from any computer, for example • Adobe Connect Rooms; • Wikispaces; • DET portal; • Webmail • Tag, save, manage and share web pages

  5. How do you get it? • Go to the website http://delicious.comand join • Yes, you will need another user name and password

  6. Sign in • When you visit the site, you now Sign In

  7. Save a new Bookmark • Click on the link on the right hand side of the page

  8. Paste in the URL • Give it a Title • Description - Notes • Tagging – this is the interesting bit

  9. Why Tag? • Tagging means your information can be displayed under different areas, eg the WSI wikispaces are tagged and can be viewed as follows:

  10. How to insert a Tag? • You type in the tag name and separate tags with a space. • You can have multiple tags on a bookmark. • If you wish to use more than one name for an individual tag, you must join it with an underscore • Here are examples of 5 different tags TAFE TAFE_Nepean wsi OTEN OTEN_LTU

  11. Sorting and sharing Bookmarks • Your bookmarks are generally sorted by Most Recent • You can sort Alphabetically by clicking on the link. • You can share your bookmarks with people in your network.

  12. Networks • You need to know the username • Click on Add a User to Network • Enter the username • Click ADD

  13. Wsi wikitagger • Each new wikispace is tagged according to: • Business Line • College • Institute • Industry Area • TAFE NSW • These can be viewed at http://www.westernsydneyinstitute.wikispaces.net/Register
