  2. Sir Isaac Newtown was born in 1642 and died in 1727 • He was born on Christmas day • He is still considered one of the greatest scientists of all time

  3. Growing up • It is know that Sir Isaac Newton attended the college Cambridge. • He graduated with a B.A. degree • There is a manuscript of his, dated May 28, 1665, which is the earliest documentary proof of his invention of fluxions.

  4. Newtons work • His Principia Mathematica (1687) includes Newton's Law of Gravity, an incredibly ground-breaking study. Newton's work destroyed the old notion of an Earth-centered universe.

  5. Fun Facts • Isaac Newton invented integral calculus. • Isaac Newton made a huge impact on theoretical astronomy. • An 18th century poem written by Alexander Pope about Sir Isaac Newton states it best: • “Nature and Nature's laws lay hid in night:God said, Let Newton be! and all was light.”

  6. Newton and Today • Newton’s laws are helpful now in classes such as math and chemistry. Using these laws help us figure out equations.
