  4. 2016 CAASPP Tests Overview • Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBAC) • Computer Adaptive Tests (CAT) • Performance Tasks (PT) • California Alternate Assessments (CAA) • Computer Tests for ELA and Math • (Results will not be available until September) • Science Paper Pencil Tests – Grades 5, 8, 10 • California Standards Tests (CST) • Assess students’ achievement of California’s academic content standards in Science • California Modified Assessment (CMA) • Allows students’ who have an IEP, are receiving grade level instruction and are not likely to achieve grade level proficiency within the year to demonstrate their achievement of the /Science content standards • California Alternate Performance Assessment (CAPA) • Designed for students with significant cognitive disabilities who are unable to take the CST or CMA with accommodations or modifications
