  2. The republic of India is located in the south of Asia. The capital of India is New Delhi. The republic of India

  3. Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism were the first spread religions in India and till nowadays these religions have been the most popular in this country. Religion

Capital and main cities Kolkatawas the capital of India since 1577 till 1911,but in the beginning of 20th century British government decided to make a new capital – Delhi, because they thought it would be easier to rule the country from the East side, where Delhi had been situated. On the territory of 7 ancient cities was built a new one, called New Delhi. Since that time and till nowadays New Delhi has been the capital of The republic of India. Goa, Hyderabad, Jaisalmer, Kolkata, Mumbai, Agra are also main cities in India.

  5. Language There are a lot of different languages in India and all of them are considered to be official. • Hindi • Urdu • Tamil • Bengali • Kashmiri

  6. Currency The national Indian currency is Indian Rupee, written as INR (international code) or RS.

  7. Climate India is situated in the subtropical climate zone. There are four types of climate in India: tropical wet, tropical dry, subtropical humid, and montane. India has a season of rainfalls ruled by the southwest monsoons. Usually it is a period since August till October. The best time to visit India are thought to be Christmas holidays.

Places to visit in India Ajanta caves, Grawford Market, Gateway of India, Humayun’s Tomb, Jaisalmer Fort, Kerala Backwaters, Khajuraho temples and ,of course, Taj Mahal are the most beautiful sights and interesting places in India. They are the best to visit and know something new about the history and culture of India.

  9. Entertainment There are a lot of ways how to spendtime in India.For example: • Tourism • Swimming • Diving • Fishing • Historical adventures or religion

  10. Indian cuisine Traditional Indian food is thought to be carry – rice with species, sauce, meat, fish or chicken.

  11. Places to sleep The most popular places to sleep India – hotels, guestrooms and camping.
