  6. Start by looking for the electronic version. Our electronic journals are all listed in the e-Journal Portal …

  7. Open the Libraries web site: http://www.lib.uct.ac.za In the Search & Find menu, click on e-Journals

  8. This will open up the e-Journal Portal … journal chemical physics Type in some keywords from the journal title And click on Go

  9. Your results screen lists the journals that match your search … Journal of chemical physics is available in several of our e-journal packages: AIP Journals AIP Scitation Journals EBSCOhost PubMed Central Click on the journal’s title SwetsWise

  10. This opens a page of links to the these resources Click Go next to the resource you want

  11. Your journal opens … 133 024705 Navigate to the volume and page of your article

  12. And you have your article … Click to download

  13. But, what if the Libraries don’t subscribe to the electronic version of the journal?

  14. If you look for the journal … Water Science and Technology the e-Journal Portal will show this: water science and technology

  15. So you can’t access this journal on the web … BUT we may have a subscription to the print version … ALEPH (the Libraries’ online catalogue) will tell you if we get the print version …

  16. Open the Libraries web site: http://www.lib.uct.ac.za In the Search & Find menu, click on Catalogue (ALEPH)

  17. When the catalogue opens up ... Click on Browse

  18. Open the dropdown menu that lets you choose the index you want to browse in. In the Browse screen ... Select Journal Title

  19. Type in the journal title water science and technology And click Go

  20. You will get a list of journal titles water science and technology Click on the journal you want

  21. This opens the catalogue record for the journal ... The Shelf Mark tells you where to look on the shelves The Holdings field tells you which volumes we have We have volumes 13-17, 20-34, 39-43, and 44-56
