  3. Initial/On-site Programming (1/4) DPT(with LCD) KX-TDA system can be programmed by two devices. (1) Any DPT(with LCD display). (2) PC-Program. (NOTE!) Remote programming can not be used for the initial programming. PC-Program

  4. Initial/On-site Programming (2/4) PC-Program (1/2) USB (DPT) USB (System) We can not use the following interface for the initial programming of the system. (1) LAN. (2) Modem & SLT port (RMT card). (3) ISDN & ISDN-Extension port. (LAP-B) RS-232C (System) The system data is saved to SD card with the following cases. (1)When the system initial start up finished. (2)When you disconnect the PC programming. (3)Every hour. (4)Click ICON(SD memory backup) manually.

  5. Initial/On-site Programming (3/4) PC-Program (2/2) PC-Program has the Quick Setup feature for the initial programming(just after clearing the system). By programming the following simple and limited items, you can start the system quickly. Item Parameter Item Parameter 1. Pattern-1(with *) 2. Operator / Local access 1. 0 / 9 (US Style) 2. 9 / 0 (UK Style) You can change only the password of your entry level. You can skip this process, if you okay with the default password. ( Administrator or User ) Select & upload the file for multi-Language data area(5) in SD card. Language Data Upload Extension Numbering 1. Automatic 2. Manual Operator & Manager (Automatic Extension Numbering mode only) LCD Language Select the LCD display language data from 5.

  10. KX-TDA System Update (1/14) MPR Software Update(1) MPR card SD card New program files PC-Program New program files of MPR can be uploaded by PC-Program. The uploaded data is stored in SD card on MPR card. (You do not need to use EPROM Programmer ! )

New program files ofeach free-slot / option-slot card can be uploaded by PC-Program. The uploaded data is once stored in SD card on MPR card. Then downloaded to the Flash-ROM on the LPR. (You do not need to use EPROM Programmer ! )

  14. a. Select “Maintenance” MPR Software Update by PC-Program (5/14) (Program File transfer from PC to SD card) <Step1> You have to prepare the following program file on your HDD of PC. (1)Pmpr(Control software) (2)Dlng0(Language for PT System Program/English), Dlng1(Language #1/English) (3)DSYS(System data) <Step2> You have to transfer the program file from HDD of PC to SD card. b. Select “File Transfer PC to PBX” Then file select dialogue box appears, you have to select following target program file one by one.. (Pmpr, Dlng0, Dlng1, DSYS) c. After you select the program file, this dialogue box appears. Program file transfer takes around 20 minutes by USB. When transfer finished, “completed” message appears, and program file name is registered automatically into the memory.

Select “Utility” • Select “File Transfer PC to PBX” Then file select dialogue box appears, you can select target program file.

  16. a. Click target card status • Click “Command” buttonThen click “OUS” button for change the status. System Update by PC-Program (7/14) Operation2: Card status change to out of service Program file load is available only for out of service status card. Open “Configuration-SLOT” screen and change the status.

  17. System Update by PC-Program (8/14) Operation3: Program File View and Load (1/4) It shows the file which is available for download. a. Select “Utility” b. Select “SD Card File View and Load” Then following screen appears. • This screen gives an information as kind of files that the memory card has.The first character of the program file is “P”.For example, PDHLC is DHLC/DLC card’s program.

  18. Click the Button.[Detail]: The program file detail is shown. You must click if you load the program.Except for program file, this button is invalid.[Cancel]: Close this screen. • Select target program file.PDHLC: DHLC/DLC cardPSLC: SLC cardPT1: T1 cardPPRI23: PRI23 cardPCSINF: CSINF cardPOPB3: OPB3 System Update by PC-Program (9/14) Operation3: Program File View and Load (2/4) You must select target program file from the memory.

Select target card.It shows current available card number and name.[All]: Load to all available card. • Program file header information of the memory. • Click the [View] Button.Program file header information of the target card is shown. System Update by PC-Program (10/14) Operation3: Program File View and Load (3/4) It shows program file header information.

  20. Click the [Cancel] Button.This screen disappears. • Click the [Load] Button.Program file load is started.The load takes a few minutes.When loading finished, “completed” message appears, and target card will change in service status automatically.   21. Files of SD Card (12/14) Control Software of KX-TDA system. File is always loaded to the DRAM when the system is started. Backup of the software for each type of LPR cards. They are manually downloaded to each card by the operation from PC-Program. Backup of the software for each type of CS unit for the wireless terminal.   22. Files of SD Card (13/14) System data. Files are always loaded to the DRAM when the system is started. Language data. 5 different language data can be stored for the display on PT. They are selectable from the operation of PT individually. Files are always loaded to the DRAM when the system is started.

  23. Files of SD Card (14/14) Default data. When the system data is cleared, the default system data is created by using those data. By updating those files, you can change the default parameter of the system. Same types of the data-set is prepared in PC-Programming and downloaded to this area by using the quick-setup operation.
