Oak Street West Development Proposal for UMKC Campus Housing

The Oak Street West Development at UMKC aims to create traditional student housing for freshmen and sophomores while accommodating upper-division and graduate students. The project includes a market study suggesting apartment-style units with 500 beds, alongside a pedestrian esplanade connecting new facilities on both campus edges. Additional plans feature mixed-use development, a potential parking structure on the surface lot south of 51st Street, and enhancements to Oak Street with planted medians. The final program is anticipated by December 2005.
