  5. The rainforest has 4 layers EMERGENT LAYER CANOPY LAYER UNDERSTORY LAYER FOREST FLOOR TROPICALRAINFOREST HABITATS

  6. EMERGANT LAYER Highest part of the rainforest Can be as tall as NYC Skyscrapers Only a few trees are part of this level Animals- Birds, butterflies, and other insects LAYERS TROPICALRAINFOREST HABITATS

  7. CANOPY LAYER Umbrella of the rainforest Blocks the sun from reaching the forest floor Trees up to 100 feet tall Most of the animals live here LAYERS TROPICALRAINFOREST HABITATS

  8. UNDERSTORY LAYER Hot and humid Below the coverings of the leaves Above the ground Many shrubs and young trees LAYERS TROPICALRAINFOREST HABITATS
