Advancements in Experimental Design for Raw Material Sourcing and Coating Techniques

This report outlines the progress made in Work Package 1 (WP1) of our project, focusing on the experimental design for the processing of pears and cashew nuts. Key developments include the assurance of raw material supply, a visit to Capespan in Cape Town for sourcing, and the design of experimental equipment with CSIR's support. Additionally, training sessions on rancidity testing for maida were conducted, enhancing our team's expertise in quality assurance. Ongoing efforts to optimize coating techniques and further improve our processing capabilities are also highlighted.
