  4. Next Generation TV Standardization of next gen. broadcast • More resolution – 4K & 8K support • More user interaction • 3D support is expected • Standards being developed in ARIB, ATSC, DVB… • FOBTV.org formed for international coordination

  5. Ultra HD (UHD) CEA announced “Ultra HD” name, characteristics • At least 3840 x 2160 • At least 16:9 aspect ratio • At least one 3840 x 2160 input (cannot rely on up-scaling alone) • Some UHD Displays announced already • Many more expected by CES
