  1. Thank you for joining! • Together we have already completed 536 service hours! • Our last Blood Drive was our most successful ever with 111 pints donated (and 333 lives saved) • Board meetings are open to members who let me know prior to the meeting that they plan on attending. The next board meeting is Monday, October 14th. You must email me if you are serious about attending. • Meetings will be twice a month. (Every other Monday)

  2. 2013-2014 Shirt Design Club pictures will be Tuesday, October 15th. Key Club’s picture is going to be at 10:30am. Please wear a black shirt or last year’s club shirt if you have it! Please ask Mr. Lawrence for your pass to get out of third period before the 15th.

Freshman Director! • Nominations begin today! • Voting will take place at the next general meeting (10/21) • The winner will become the first freshman board member. • Any freshman interested in this position will need to fill out a “Freshman Director Application” available in Mr. Lawrence’s room. (You’re application is due 10/17)

  5. Profits go towards helping children in developing • Countries get the life sustaining help they need. • UNICEF partners with the Eliminate Project. • The member who collects the most money will get a prize and will become our first member of the month! • Get your Trick or Treat for UNICEF boxes from Melissa after this meeting

  6. October DCM • “Glam-a-thon” Esplanade Park, 401 SW 2nd St. Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33312 • The October Divisional Council meeting will go towards breast cancer research. • WHEN: Sunday, October 13th • 11AM-3PM • WHAT: A walk for breast cancer research. • Cost: $5.00 • Many people come dressed in pink to this event so it is encouraged. • Volunteer hours available

  7. Horses & Handicapped • What: Horse therapy for the handicapped. • When: 8:30am-12:30pm. • Where: 5050 SW 73rd Avenue, Davie FL • 4 hours of community service. • Sign up with Marisa after this meeting. • Note: If there is rain the session will be cancelled.

  8. JAFCO 5K Run/Walk • What: An opportunity to donate to children with developmental disabilities and the hospitals that care for them. • When: Sunday, October 20th. 9am-12pm (and on) • Where: BB&T Center. • Cost: $25 Dollars for pre registration. • If you plan on attending let Marisa know (or myself). • Also worth school volunteer hours.
