Understanding Density: Key Terms and Concepts for Measurement

Density is a fundamental property of matter defined as the amount of mass per unit volume. Mass refers to the total amount of matter in an object, measured in grams. Volume is the space occupied by that substance. Weight is the gravitational force acting on an object, while force represents any push or pull that alters motion. To measure density, we divide mass by volume. This process allows scientists and students alike to analyze materials and understand their physical properties better.
