  1. AdvOSSService Delivery Platform

  2. AdvOSS Service Delivery Platform Enabling Next Generation Services: • AdvOSS SDP enables all new generation telecom companies specially in 4G and LTE space to easily create their SIP/IMS based services, deploy them and deliver them to their customers. Customers: • All telecom companies who are providing any type of voice / video based service or other services that can be delivered over SIP/IMS protocols need a Service Delivery Engine and their actual services realized in shape of scripts that they can extend or tweak as and when needed.

  3. AdvOSS Service Delivery Platform Innovative, State-of the artSIP & IMS Offerings

  4. AdvOSSService Delivery PlatformService Delivery Engine • Allows Service Providers to Create and Execute Scripts for delivery, management, monitoring and provisioning of Services. • Offers a powerful scripting language as well as primitives for SIP, AAA, Media Control and other required functions. • Programmable, Extensible and EnhancableService Delivery Engine that enables the CSPs to develop and integrate new services at a brisk pace, as per their business requirements.

  5. Service Delivery EngineAMPS as Middleware

  6. Service Delivery EngineService Enablers Supported Service Enablers • SIP Enablers - For creation of SIP based Services • AAA Enabler • RADIUS • DIAMETER • Media Enabler – IVR, Streaming, Media Proxy/relaying, Tanscoding

  7. Service Delivery EngineService Enablers • An Enabler is defined by the following: a. Primitives: Primitives are basic API building blocks exposed by an enabler. Primitives encapsulate logic that can be called as an API atomically.  They are fixed and define the feature set offered by a certain version of an enabler. b. Transport Binding: • Each Enabler offers a transport binding, over which it can communicate with other network resources. E.g. some transport bindings are as follows: • XML over HTTP • SOAP • XML over sockets (TCP/UDP) • RADIUS • DIAMETER

  8. Service Delivery EngineWorkflow layers • XML based programmable interfaces and workflow execution. • Applications running on SDP expose a workflow layer for easy extensibility, on the fly customizations and modification of business logic

  9. Service Delivery EngineSCCXML • AdvOSS proprietary scripting language SCCXML is a superset of W3C standard CCXML (Call Control XML) with numerous proprietary extensions to make it one of the most powerful scripting languages for Service Creation and Delivery . • Offers tremendous flexibility to define any kind of workflow by altering the SCCXML script without any kind of new code deployment as long as the underlying Enablers are present. For more details please check http://sccxml.org/

  10. Service Delivery EngineMedia Server Key Features: • Media relaying • DTMF detection & collection • Playing of media files • Multiple codecs support for Media Relaying including G729, G711 ulaw, G711 alaw & GSM

  11. Service Delivery EngineMedia Server • Stores pre-encoded media files. For example: IVR files to be played under instructions from an Application Server (Residential VoIP AS, Prepaid AS etc). • Works in a slave mode controlled by a Master AS, and have a SIP interface to their controlling AS. • Takes commands in SIP INFO messages in MSCML (Media Server Control Markup Language) format. • Can work in load balancing as well as primary + hot-standby configuration and provide back up to each other as well as share the media load.

  14. AdvOSS SDE SolutionsScalability • AdvOSS uses the following technologies and architectures to achieve Scalability • Dispatcher/Server Model • Layers of Dispatching • Replication Dispatcher/Server Model

  15. AdvOSS SDE SolutionsHigh Availability

  16. AdvOSSService Delivery Platform Products AdvOSS has realized the following products enabled by the SDE software architecture: • Session Border Controller with SIP registrar • Fixed Mobile Convergence Application Server • Residential Voice application Server • Prepaid AS for Calling Cards & Phone 2 Phone services • SIP Trunking Application Server

  17. AdvOSS Service Delivery Platform SBC (Session Border Controller) • AdvOSS SBC: AdvOSS SBC (Session Border Controller) provides powerful border control features

  18. AdvOSSService Delivery Platform SBC (Session Border Controller) • Enhanced Access Control & Admission Control • Enables Operators to handle NAT Traversal related issues • Acts as a Peering SBC to provide : • Topology Hiding • Routing look up • Vendor side termination capacity  check etc. • Concurrency control • Can be easily integrated with existing Class 4 Softswitches, Media Gateways, and Application Servers etc over SIP protocol. • AdvOSS LCR Engine, SIP Application Servers and Billing System come pre-integrated with SBC.

  19. AdvOSS SBC Business Use Cases Enables several important business use cases for Service Providers. Major use cases include but are not limited to the following: • NAT Traversal • Media Proxy & Relaying • Media Transcoding • Congestion control and overload protection for SoftSwitches and Services in the core network • Topology Hiding • Complex SIP Header Manipulation and modification • Handling malformed SIP packets • Authentication, Authorization and on-line Accounting on behalf of services provided by SoftSwitches in the core in case they are themselves unable to provide the AAA services

  20. AdvOSS SBC Business Use Cases cont’d • SIP Registration • SIP Registration Pass-through in case SIP Registrar resides in the core network • Least Cost Routing to Interconnecting Peers • Policy Based Routing to Interconnecting Peers • Filtering and Routing incoming SIP messages to Application Servers and SoftSwitches in the core network • SIP Session Management • Limiting session routing to Interconnect peers when their session handling capacity is reached or exceeded

  21. AdvOSS Service Delivery Platform Fixed Mobile Convergence AS • Fixed Mobile Convergence AS: AdvOSS FMC AS is an Application Server for Fixed Mobile Convergence services.

  22. AdvOSSService Delivery Platform Fixed Mobile Convergence AS Features Highlight • One Phone Number • One Voicemail box • Simultaneous Ringing • Handset Agnostic • Access Agnostic • VoIP calls over wifi/3G • Automatic Carrier selection (outside wifi zone/IP coverage area) • Session Continuity (To be available in next product release at the end of Q3, 2012)

  23. AdvOSS Service Delivery Platform Residential VoIP AS • Residential VoIP AS: Specially designed Application Server to introduce state of the art Class 5 Residential voice & IP Telephony services with Fixed Mobile Convergence.

  24. AdvOSS Service Delivery Platform Class 5 Value added Services in Residential VoIP AS & FMC AS Value added services in SIP based applications • SIP based require providing value added features to individual subscribers or businesses. Examples include but not limited to: • Call forwarding • Three way calling • Conference calling • Call waiting • Call Parking and pickup • Follow Me • Voice Mail • IVR (based care) • Authorization for prepaid scenarios All these services can be implemented independent of SIP by writing SCCXML scripts

  25. AdvOSS Service Delivery Platform SIP Trunking AS • SIP Trunking AS: A SIP Based Application Server for telecoms allowing wholesale providing of SIP Trunking services to Enterprises.
