BREWERS CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF RELATED INDUSTRIES • CarlsbergGrouphas invested in Russia more than 13 billion $ • Russian brewing industry creates over 40 thousandjobs • Related industries - 600 thousand jobs • Annually brewing companies invest about 17 million dollars in Russian agriculture (own projects) • Russian brewing companies own 16 malt houses, total investment in them amounts to 900 million dollars • 40 agricultural enterprises and 650 farms in Russia produce brewing barley • Over 35 000 jobs are related to growing brewing barley in Russia

COOPERATION WITH BREWERS IS BENEFICIAL FOR AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS • Guaranteed fixed price for suppliers and guaranteed quality of barley for brewers • Brewers provide seeds, equipment, technology, professional expertise Russian brewers are interested in minimizing dependence on imported raw materials and are making efforts to improve the quality of Russian raw materials, developing agriculture and producing high-quality brewing malt

BALTIKA’S AGROPROJECT STARTED IN 2005 • In 2012, the Carlsberg Group and Baltika signed a memorandum • of understanding • with the United Nations • Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) • The document provides for RUB 1 billion investment over five years • in major environmental projects • in Russia related to water, agriculture and climate change • Baltika is one of the first beer producers in Russia to create its own raw material base • Annually, the company purchases approx. 30% of malting barley produced in the country, significant part of it - from participants of its own agroproject • In 2013, 204 000 tonnesof brewing barley have been purchased within the agroproject, which is 10 times more than in the first year of the project implementation • The agricultural project provides jobs for about 15 thousands people across Russia, including Siberia and the Far East

BALTIKA INVESTS SUBSTANTIAL FUNDS IN AGRICULTURE • Total company investment in the development of agriculture in Russia since 2005 amounts to over RUB 8 bln, including: • investment in infrastructure • 2000– malt house “Soufflet-St Petersburg" (Joint venture) • 2004 – malt house in Tula • 2007 – malt house in Yaroslavl • Total capacity - 325 thousand of tons of malt • 2010– grain elevator in Khabarovsk • 2011 – modernization of grain elevator in • Voronezh • 2012 – grain elevator in the Tula region • growing brewing barley by Russian agricultural enterprises within company’s own agroproject Потенциал проекта есть в Сибири, на Урале и Дальнем Востоке *

BALRIKA’S AGROPROJECT ALLOWS TO PRODUCE HIGH QUALITY GRAIN Pricing scheme • "Baltika" provides agricultural partners with high quality seeding material • "Baltika" is developing specific technology of growing barley for each specific agricultural enterprise • "Baltika" is involved in quality control of grain conditioning and storage, as well as defining optimal timing for harvesting • In 2013, agreements signed with 79 agricultural enterprises • Barley grown within the agricultural project must comply with 22 specifications that far exceed the requirements of state standards • In the research center of Baltika "Baltic" there is a microbrewery and micro malt house which allow to monitor the quality of grain at all stages of production - from the field to grain transport to the malt house and breweries Additional volume - Market price Contracted volume – At a fixed price Commodity price Market price the weighted average purchase price under the agricultural project Non-yielding year Yielding year

  9. CLIMATE IN RUSSIA IS NOT OPTIMAL FOR GROWING MALTING BARLEY The average temperature in Europe increases evenly during the day and usually doesn’t reach extreme indicators. RESEARCH CENTER OF CARLSBERG GROUP DEVELOPS SPECIAL BARLEY VARIETIES FOR RUSSIAN CLIMATE • Experts from Carlsberg research center breed new resistant varieties for arid climate • In 2013, Russia first harvested Chill malting barley variety (№9052659 in the register of breeding achievements) • Chill is a so-called Null-lox variety bred specifically for brewing through traditional selection method • Test seedings of Chill variety were held in Russia in the Tula region • This is not a genetically modified organism (GMO), and therefore it does not contain enzymes that accelerate the aging process • This variety allows beer to better preserve its initial taste

AGROPROJECT ALLOWS TO REDUCE THE SHARE OF IMPORTED BARLEY • Being a responsible brewer, Baltika is interested in establishing a rational model for production supplies • Agricultural project allows the company to have guaranteed volumes of high-quality raw materials and be less dependent on import • Using the best examples of malting barley developed for climatic conditions of the country, the Russian agricultural enterprises will reduce the risk of crop failure in dry years Baltika’s purchases of barley and malt

THE STATE CAN SUPPORT AGRICULTURAL PROJECTS • Accelerated registration of new malting barley varieties on the basis of qualitative characteristics and not productivity, and support in seed breeding • Supporting innovation and technology in the cultivation of malting barley • Additional benefits for farmers to ensure their profitability and competitive prices
