  3. Climate • Temperature: -70 to 30 degrees Celsius • Precipitation: 200-600 millimeters/year • Low evaporation rate • Winters typically last 6 months or more • Virtually no Spring of Fall seasons

  4. Plant Life • Spruces, Firs, and Pines predominate forests • Aspen and Birch may also be found • Willows line stream banks • Blueberry and Juniper provide fruit forage • Grasses provide herbivorous forage
