Physical Description The Taiga is a very cold, snowy, and icy place. It has a big animal population. It also has a lot of mountains and not a bunch of cities or towns for people to live in so not a lot of people live there.
Climate and Temperature The climate is very harsh with snow and ice. The average temperature in the winter is -68 degrees C (-90 degrees F). In the summer the average weather is 30 degrees C (86 degrees F).
Precipitation Precipitation in the Taiga is about 25-75 cm (10-30 in).

Common Animals The Most common animals in the Taiga are the River Otter, Gray Wolf, Brown Bear, Musk Oxen, and the Canadian Goose.
Common Plants The most common plats are Pine Tree, Blueberries, Tall Spruce, Fir Tree, and the Conifer Tree.
Fun Facts • The word “Taiga” is a Russian word for “marshy”. • In Northern Russia lakes and ponds stretch for more than 90 mi. • Chilly winds from the arctic cause bitterly cold weather. • Some animals camouflage to protect themselves from bigger animals that with harm them. • Sometimes branches twist together and create a deep shade on the ground.
Impact of Humans We can effect the environment by cutting down trees and grass for things such as train station s and malls. At the same time we wouldn’t effect the environment because the bigger animals like the gray wolf or brown bear would get to us before we had time to make a city or town.
Interaction With Abiotic and Biotic The interaction with biotic and abiotic would make a destruction of natural resources.
