  2. He Leads Us • Rom. 8:14 • As we follow the Word. • In initial commands and conformity to total truth • Gal. 5:16-18; I John 1:7. • Most people pray for and expect direction from God, but most don’t know how He directs.

  3. He Inspired the Apostles & Prophets • 2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Pet. 1 • Rom. 8:16 compare John 5:39 • Eph. 3:1-7

  4. He Sanctifies • I Cor. 6:11 • Thru the Word – John 17:17 • We help as we live the “set apart” life. • Titus 3:5 cf. James 1:21.

  5. He Gives Life • Thru the new birth – John 3:5, 8 • But Peter says this comes thru the word – I Peter 1:21-23

  6. Mostly… • The Spirit works thru the word. • But we can’t limit the power of God. • As He directed Paul, Peter and others; so He can direct us. We’re just not told the details – Acts 16:9; Acts 10 • He “intercedes” – Rom. 8:26-27

  7. Be Thankful • God works for us, and thru us. • “You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world” (I John 4:4).
