The DevInfo Workshop, held in Dakar from July 19-25, 2011, aimed to demonstrate the potential of DevInfo technology for the dissemination of Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) data. The workshop focused on how to leverage DevInfo to improve development outcomes by effectively using and visualizing data. Participants learned the steps to upload MICS data into the DevInfo database, explored dashboards for maternal and child survival profiles, and engaged with interactive data tools. Purpose of DevInfo • DevInfo is a UN-supported initiative that aims to translate large investments in data collection into improved development outcomes through the use of data • Consists of core database structure, various options for exchange and visualization, and training programme for how to use and apply this
