What Career Development Professionals Say.. I've used CIS to help clients understand the challenges of a vocational goal they've chosen that is probably not realistic for them in terms of expectations in comparison with that client's abilities or limitations. CIS is a tool I reach for with almost every client with whom I'm associated. I worked closely with two male youth, who were happy just working menial construction jobs. Their highest aspirations were to “work the loaders or backhoes”. With the help of CIS program we were able to make a daunting experience fun and easy. I believe both of these guys lives were changed thanks to CIS! The information provided by CIS ruled out many occupations that my client might have otherwise pursued. He is now working successfully and no longer needs to receive SSDI benefits. Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships *Excepts from career development professionals from Id.
