  4. KEY COMPONENT #2 • Using a non-adversarial approach, prosecution and defense counsel promote public safety while protecting participants’ due process rights.

  5. A Drug Court Prosecutor is: • A Team Player The Drug Court Prosecutor is a good Team mate

  6. A Drug Court Prosecutor is: • A Guardian of Public Safety A Drug Court Prosecutor primary objective remains protecting the Public.

  7. A Drug Court Prosecutor is: • A Liaison with law enforcement A Drug Court prosecutor is the Programs main link with all law enforcement agencies.

  8. A Drug Court Prosecutor is: • Intellectually sharp. A Drug Court Prosecutor remains current on Drug Courts research and is knowledgeable about addiction and psychopharmacology.

  9. A Drug Court Prosecutor is: • An astute politician. A Drug Court Prosecutor provides political cover, legitimacy for the Drug Court and is a powerful advocate for its sustainability in all areas.

  10. A Drug Court Prosecutor is: • Always wears the White Hat. A Drug Court Prosecutor provides focus, safeguards participants’ Due Process, Equal Protection and other statutory rights such as Confidentiality .

  11. A Drug Court Prosecutor is: • Vigilant. A Drug Court Prosecutor monitors program fidelity and seeks to improve the Program wherever possible.

  12. A Drug Court Prosecutor is: • A tireless advocate. A Drug Court Prosecutor uses their advocacy skills to in traditional ways where appropriate and also in nontraditional ways to support/improve the Drug Court and support recovery.

  14. A Drug Court Prosecutor is: • An Innovator. A Drug Court Prosecutor uses their legal skills to find new and legally appropriate solutions to problems and ways in to support/improve the Drug Court and support recovery.

A Drug Court Prosecutor is: • A better lawyer; • A better person; • More satisfied at work; • Less prone to Burnout A Drug Court Prosecutor is a better team player, politician, problem-solver, innovator, watchdog, advocate and intellectually stronger than they were before their Drug Court assignment.
