WHAT DOES IT NEED? • Show that you have mastered • Word processing (headers/footers, footnotes) • Spreadsheets and Formulas • Graphics • Basics of the computer system and how it works • How to choose the best program for the job required • How to post on blackboard • How to send documents (via blackboard) • Video production • Link lists • Powerpoint presentation • Citing Sources

  3. What Does it Need? (cont.) • A letter , explaining what you have learned using information you have collected (documents, etc.) as evidence to back up your statements. • You are looking to show what you have learned and how far you have come since the beginning of the year.

  4. What Does it Need (cont.) • You may need to look back at some of the entries from your earlier computer notebooks to see what has changed over time. • You will have access to a pen drive to move documents and to a scanner to scan in some early entries to help document your process.

  5. What you Need (cont.) • A presentation that shows what you have learned that is self-contained (I.e. a website, powerpoint, etc) and can be viewed from any computer • You will NOT be around to defend yourself.

  6. How it’s Evaluated • Self-Evaluation on QUIA • You will grade yourself based on the rubric • You will have another chance to make your case for what you have learned • Project on CD

  7. Portfolio • Collect the items that you have created • Make a website that links them all together • Send the link to Ms. Maye through Blackboard • Post it on the MSVIDEO server • Pull it all together and use the PEN DRIVE to get it in one place. We will burn a CD-DVD for you to take your work with you!

  8. End of the Year

  9. All items are due in by June 15th • You must have your weblinks and portfolio completed by June 15th. • All items must be on the server by that day for ALL CLASSES as CD’s will be burned

  10. GRADING • REQUIRED: • Digital Portfolio with supporting documents on the server (will be burned to CD) • Letter regarding what you have learned (in MS Word and sent to blackboard) • Self-Evaluation on QUIA • Class Evaluation on QUIA (just make sure you have your name on it for credit… comments not looked at until after grades are turned in -- summer reading)
